Giving Thanks in the Present

We live in a time when so much is happening around us. The world keeps changing, our days seem to fly by, and sometimes we become so focused on what still needs to be done that we forget to pause and appreciate what we have already received.

Gratitude doesn’t mean that everything has to be perfect. It means learning to recognise what God has given us today, even in the middle of uncertainty or difficulty.

A warm home. A conversation that lifts your spirit. A quiet moment. The people around you. Or simply the opportunity to begin again.

Have you ever felt that God was leading you toward something, but instead of seeing what you could do, you immediately saw everything you felt you couldn’t?

I’m not capable enough.

I don’t know enough.

I’m not the right person.

Someone else could do this much better.
